Background and Standards

Insulating boots and insulating gloves are essential safety appliances for the operation and maintenance of electric power systems. The testing methods and cycles for these safety appliances, including insulating boots and gloves, are stipulated in the Safety Code of the Electric Power Industry (DL 408). For the dielectric withstand voltage test, the testing cycle is six months. No puncture is allowed during the test, and the leakage current of the insulating boots must not exceed the specified limit.

Patented Technology

The apparatus employs patented multi-channel high-voltage leakage test technology and infrared data communication, enabling safe measurement of high-voltage leakage current. Thanks to these technologies, the testing apparatus is completely isolated from the high-voltage system, allowing precise measurement of multi-channel high-voltage leakage current while ensuring the safety of testing operators.

Multi-Sample Testing and High-Voltage Interruption

Eight pieces of safety appliances can be tested simultaneously, improving work efficiency. Patented high-voltage interruption technology is adopted to avoid test repetition. During the test, a punctured piece is automatically disconnected from the high-voltage system, while the remaining puncture-free pieces continue to be tested until completion.

 

Main Functions

1. Eight pieces of the insulating boots or the insulating gloves can be tested at the same time, while the leakage current can be tested separately.

2. Using the large LCD screen, more information can be displayed. Eight channels of parameters including high voltage leakage current, testing voltage, testing current, recorded time can be displayed on the screen at the same time.

3. The parameters such as the testing voltage and the primary current of the testing transformer can be measured.

4. Using the patented technology for the infrared data communication, the operating console is wholly isolated from the high voltage system, so that the safety of the operators is ensured.

5. The dielectric withstand voltage test is an automatic test. Once the test is started, the apparatus shall be switched on automatically, and then the voltage shall be raised to the preset voltage according to the speed required by the national standard. Once the preset voltage is reached, the apparatus shall start recording the time and the testing voltage shall be maintained. When the time is up, the voltage shall be decreased to zero and the power shall be switched off, in the meantime the leakage current of each tested piece shall be displayed and the testing result shall be saved automatically.

6. The special earthing vessels are available for easy operation.

7. High Voltage Interruption Control: Each test channel is equipped with independent high voltage interrupting control. If a puncture occurs in any channel, that test piece is automatically isolated from the high voltage, while the remaining test continues unaffected.

8. Over Voltage and Over Current Protection: The system features protective functions against over voltage and over current.

9. High Voltage Warning Lamp: A warning lamp provides visual indication of high voltage danger.

10. Data Storage: Up to sixty groups of test data and results can be saved for reference at any time.

12. The testing data can be printed on site.
