The HZ1491 SF6 Density Relay Calibrator has been engineered in compliance with DL/T 259-2012, the Calibration Specification for SF6 Density Relay established by the National Energy Administration of China. The instrument incorporates a 7.0-inch color LCD touchscreen for user-friendly operation, a high-capacity rechargeable lithium battery for extended field use, and a USB interface for convenient export of historical test data to external storage.

Beyond density relay calibration, the HZ1491 is capable of calibrating both pressure gauges and density gauges. The system continuously monitors for abnormal conditions during testing-such as pipeline leaks, insufficient inlet/outlet pressure, or other irregularities-and will automatically terminate the test and display a warning if any anomaly is detected.

Key Features

The calibrator is built around a high-performance single-chip microcontroller, with critical components sourced from leading international suppliers to guarantee precision, repeatability, and long-term reliability. The instrument supports up to five contact groups, each configurable as normally open or normally closed, and can simultaneously measure both the response and recovery values for all groups.

The color touchscreen interface simplifies operation, presenting all parameters and system status in a clear, intuitive layout. The instrument automatically performs pressure measurement and 20 °C value conversion, providing real-time compensation between pressure and temperature. It displays the pressure at the current ambient temperature, the equivalent pressure at 20 °C, and the ambient temperature itself-completely eliminating the difficulties traditionally associated with field calibration of SF6 density relays.

All testing is fully automated under microcontroller control, removing the need for manual air-path adjustments. The instrument can store up to 50 test results with power-off data protection, and allows users to query and print historical data at any time. Importantly, the calibration process does not require a constant-temperature chamber, enabling accurate calibration of density relays and pressure gauges across any effective temperature range.

A comprehensive set of transition adapters is included, allowing on-site verification of most switch types without the need for relay disassembly. In addition to density relay calibration, the instrument also offers calibration functions for both 20 °C pressure gauges and ambient-temperature pressure gauges. The pressure-reducing valve for the gas cylinder is professionally designed to withstand 15 MPa (150 kg), with adjustable low-pressure output, making it suitable for calibration in metrology rooms using nitrogen as the test gas.
