HV Vacuum Switch Interrupter Vacuity Tester
Products Description
The HZ-KG7 represents our latest generation vacuum switchgear tester, evolved from the HZ-KG6 based on extensive field user feedback. It delivers higher accuracy, superior stability, and increased capacity for assessing vacuum integrity.
Overcoming Traditional Limitations
Conventional frequency withstand voltage testing only identifies severely degraded vacuum interrupters (VIs). Crucially, VIs can fail at vacuum levels between 10⁻² to 10⁻¹ Pa, even when breakdown voltage remains within normal ranges.
Innovative Non-Destructive Testing
The HZ-KG7 eliminates the need for disassembly. Utilizing novel excitation coils and the magnetron discharge method, it directly measures the vacuum level within the interrupter chamber. Computerized synchronous control, data acquisition, and processing ensure a remarkable field-test sensitivity of 10⁻⁵ Pa.
Key Features & Benefits:
Non-Destructive Measurement: Tests vacuum integrity without disassembling the switchgear.
High Sensitivity & Accuracy: Detects vacuum levels down to 10⁻⁵ Pa with defined precision.
Advanced Technology: Proprietary excitation coils and data processing algorithms.
User-Friendly: Practical, easy to operate design.
Versatile Application: Widely used in power, steel, petrochemical, textile, coal, railway, and other industries employing vacuum switches.

Testing Principle
Setup: The VI's contact poles are separated to their normal operating distance. High-voltage pulses are applied across the contacts. The VI is placed within a spiral coil or has dedicated electromagnetic coils positioned externally.
Field Generation: This configuration generates a synchronized high-voltage pulsed magnetic field within the interrupter chamber.
Ionization: Under the combined influence of the strong electric field and pulsed magnetic field, electrons inside the chamber follow spiral paths. These electrons collide with residual gas molecules, causing ionization.
Ion Current: The resulting ion current is directly proportional to the density of the residual gas – that is, the vacuum level (pressure).
Calibration & Measurement: For specific VI types (due to structural differences), calibration curves establish the precise relationship between the measured ion current and the actual vacuum level at defined contact gaps and field strengths. By detecting the ion current produced during the test and referencing the pre-calibrated curve for that VI type, the instrument accurately determines the vacuum pressure inside the chamber.
